Yuzi

Name: Lee You Tze
Age: 17
Country: Malaysia
Languages spoken: English, Chinese, Malay.
Interests: I like to watch TV, play the piano and listen to music from different genres, like pop, classical etc. Besides that, sleep is very important for me. I like hanging out with my friends and having fun. I’m just like any average teenager  living in Malaysia.
Issues: Issues like education and health are the closest to me. I’m still a student and wish to work in the health industry someday. Other issues like poverty, discrimination, and wars result in many negative impacts on the world as well. There are many issues that need attention from the international community immediately.

Experience: I’ve had a few experiences thus far. Being a member of the Interact Club, I participated in an event called ‘World Understanding Month’ annually (from 2001-2003) held by the Rotary Club of my state, Malacca. From here, I learnt about other countries and thus, learnt to respect others for their differences. I have also spent some time (about a month) working with children with mental handicaps in the Salvation Army. It was a very humbling experience, for I learnt to appreciate the simple things I have in life. I have also visited orphanages and done fundraising within my community. Although my experiences are not many, I treasure every one of them.
My ideal world: My ideal world will have people and animals and plants living in harmony together. There will not be war, extremism, poverty, AIDS, discrimination, lack of education or lack of health care for anyone. People will learn to respect each other no matter how different they are and love each other. If this can occur, countries throughout the world can be at peace. Children will bloom like the beautiful flowers of paradise. My ideal world would be one where I can see a smile on everyone’s face.

Grace

Name: Grace Kim
Age: 19
Country: United States
Languages spoken: English, Korean
Interests: I really enjoy church, music, concerts, books, writing, medicine, journalism, the beach, the mountains, and all things related to Africa.
Issues: My greatest concern is the HIV/AIDS epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa. It is unacceptable that 6,500 people die from AIDS in Africa everyday.
It is the moral responsibility of the international community to take up arms against this pandemic; I believe the youth, equipped with an extraordinary
passion, can make a great difference in this issue.
Experience: I'm Vice Chair of Programming of the UNICEF chapter at my school, USC in Los Angeles, California. It's a relatively new organization, but we're working on our plans to bring advocacy and awareness of critical issues to our campus!
Your ideal world: I cannot wait until we build a world in which no one dies from AIDS or any other infectious and preventable diseases; poverty is eradicated; the global community is united and free of war; and all children can receive education.

I have volunteered with GreenPeace- to help educate people about the impacts of human activity on the environment as well as other environmental issues. Age: 17

Languages spoken: Hindi, Punjabi and English along with a little German

Experience: Although I do not have much experience, thus far I have been involved in a few projects fund raising for the old and the blind, hygiene drives in slums, and the discussion groups on Unicef.

My ideal world: My ideal world would be along the ideals of 'ONE WORLD - ONE FAMILY'. By applying India's political concept of a federal secular democracy, I would like to see the entire world being governed by one political entity with all present-day nations as its units. Also my ideal world would be one where the self is most important when he/she is of service to the rest of the human race. This way everyone will work towards creating a better world each day in every possible way

Katcea

Name: Katrina Angelie Cea
Age: 18 years old
Sex: Female
Country: Philippines
Languages: Filipino, English
Interests: A lot of things interests me so I usually end up enjoying many things. I'm always up for learning. Among these, I like dancing, singing, watching T.V. and movies, hanging out with my friends, reading, making new friends and many more. When I have free time from school, I wall climb with my friends. Not that I'm very "good" at it... Or just find new adventures. I am also interested in photography, people, current events, conspiracies ( ) I love sunrises on mountains (but I don't catch it often) and sunsets on beaches. I love life!
Issues: Discrimination has always been an issue for me. It exists in many forms and it becomes the line that divides people. For me, it sets people apart resulting to the different problems we are facing today. Because of discrimination, we are not a ONE world. Because of it, some people try to regard themselves as higher individuals compared to others that's why poverty and lack of education exist. Because of it, some people try to use others in their own advantage, that's why we have environmental problems such as deforestation, pollution and lack of clean water. One problem leads to another like since not everyone is aware, some think of abortion and similar things as being good. War also contributes to the sufferings that many are experiencing.
Experience: I have participated in many outreach programs organized by my past school. These are Alay Kapatid (we interact and give bundles of joy to our unfortunate brothers and sisters from our adopted school), Feeding Programs, Tutorial Programs, Share-A-Can Presentations, Grant-A-Christmas Wish Programs, Interactions with streetchildren and kids from the boys' home, Exposure to different communities like the Badjao Community and some squatters area, and Dialogue with Life ( we stayed with a family from the rural area and "lived" their life). Right now in college, I am a member of my school's publication and is an active member of Unicef VOY forum. I also hope to help the world become a better place through Article2.
My ideal world: My ideal world would be one in which everyone would set aside their pride and start to consider everyone else as equal. Yes, some may still be more fortunate compared to others but at least it would be nice if evryone can just get along. I also would like a world where people understand that everyone's created differently and everyone cannot please everyone.
